Konica Minolta C2557 error code
Toner concentration fault (black TCR sensor)
Konica Minolta C2557 usually indicates a black toner concentration fault: the TCR sensor continuously measures a value outside the permitted range, even though the printer expects toner to be present.
What does this error mean?
bizhub printers continuously measure the ratio of toner to carrier in the developer. If the value remains incorrect, the printer stops to protect print quality and the developer unit. Common causes include interrupted toner replenishment or the condition of the developer unit.
What can you safely try?
- 01Remove and reinsert the black toner cartridge to make sure it is properly seated.
- 02Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait at least 10 minutes for the fuser to cool down, then switch it back on. Many error codes are temporary and disappear after a full power cycle.
When should you call a technician?
If the code returns, call a technician: checking the developer unit and toner replenishment requires a qualified technician.
Do you rent out or manage printers?
If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
