Sharp H5-01 error code
Repeated jams at the fuser (five in a row)
Sharp H5-01 means that paper failed to reach the sensor after the fuser in time on five consecutive occasions. The printer locks out for safety because it suspects a persistent jam near the fuser.
What does this error mean?
The code is most often caused by a piece of paper hidden in or immediately after the fuser, and less often by the exit sensor or fuser wear. H5-01 does not clear by itself after the paper is removed; on most Sharp printers, a technician must clear it.
What can you safely try?
- 01Open the doors and covers and carefully remove all jammed paper from the paper path, including small scraps. The area around the fuser may be hot; wait a few minutes there.
- 02Check the exit section after the fuser particularly carefully: scraps are often left there.
When should you call a technician?
A technician is typically needed to clear the code even after you have removed the paper. If the jam returns regularly, the fuser assembly may also need replacing.
Do you rent out or manage printers?
If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
