OKI 380 error code

Paper jam (feeding)

OKI code 380 indicates a paper jam in the feeding section: the paper left the tray but did not reach the next sensor in time.

What does this error mean?

Thick or damp paper, an overfilled tray and a worn feed roller are common triggers. The code asks you to open the cover: look for the jammed sheet inside the printer.

What can you safely try?

  1. 01Open the doors and covers and carefully remove all jammed paper from the paper path, including small scraps. The area around the fuser may be hot; wait a few minutes there.
  2. 02If you need to remove the imaging drum to reach the jam, put it in a shaded place and do not leave it exposed to light for more than a few minutes: the drum is light-sensitive.
  3. 03Remove the paper from the tray, fan it and keep it below the fill mark.

When should you call a technician?

If the jam returns regularly, call a technician: the feed rollers may need replacing.

Do you rent out or manage printers?

If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
