Kyocera F000 error code
Control panel and controller communication fault
Kyocera F000 usually means that communication between the main controller and control panel has not been established. A software, memory or circuit board fault may be responsible.
What does this error mean?
Kyocera codes beginning with F cover controller-level faults. Some F000 faults are temporary and disappear after fully switching the printer off and on; persistent cases have an underlying hardware cause.
What can you safely try?
- 01Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait at least 10 minutes for the fuser to cool down, then switch it back on. Many error codes are temporary and disappear after a full power cycle.
- 02For a test, unplug the network cable (LAN): in rare cases, an incoming job can trigger the fault.
When should you call a technician?
If F000 returns after fully switching the printer off and on, call a technician: the controller board needs to be examined.
Do you rent out or manage printers?
If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
