Kyocera C6030 error code
Open-circuit fuser thermistor
Kyocera C6030 usually indicates an open circuit in the fuser’s temperature sensor (thermistor): the printer continuously receives an invalid signal from the sensor. This code stops the printer.
What does this error mean?
Without a thermistor signal, the printer cannot control the fuser heating, so it stops for safety. The cause may be the sensor itself, the wiring or a poor connection at the connector.
What can you safely try?
- 01Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait at least 10 minutes for the fuser to cool down, then switch it back on. Many error codes are temporary and disappear after a full power cycle.
When should you call a technician?
If the code remains after switching the printer off and on, call a technician: checking and replacing the thermistor is a job for a qualified technician.
Do you rent out or manage printers?
If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
