Abnormal fuser temperature
Toshiba C447 usually indicates abnormal fuser heating after a fault check: the temperature does not develop as expected. It is closely related to C449.
What does this error mean?
C447 and C449 cover abnormal temperatures in the heating unit; the thermostat, thermistor or heating element is typically responsible. On Toshiba printers, fuser error codes remain stored after the fault has been resolved and must be cleared by a technician.
What can you safely try?
- 01Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait at least 10 minutes for the fuser to cool down, then switch it back on. Many error codes are temporary and disappear after a full power cycle.
