Epson 0xF1 error code
Printhead position fault
Epson error code 0xF1 usually means that the printhead carriage cannot return to its home position: something is obstructing its path, or its movement feedback is invalid.
What does this error mean?
The most common cause is a piece of paper or a foreign object in the carriage’s path. You can carefully inspect the path under the cover; do not force anything.
What can you safely try?
- 01Open the cover and carefully remove any pieces of paper or foreign objects from the printhead’s path.
- 02Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait a few minutes, then switch it back on. Some temporary faults clear this way.
When should you call a technician?
If you cannot find an obstruction and the code remains, call a technician: the carriage mechanism needs to be checked.
